These are the things I’ve found @welovetypography.
I like the Mosi type so much. The other one is a shorthand letter from 1859.

Today I went to a Muji store by chance. I saw these illustration pens and woodcut print letters stuff.
I am trying to solve to use these pens, because I can’t mix the colors with each other at the moment. ( Actually I don’t have any colored pen, just black and white, because they were expensive relative to my budget. Muji is an expensive store in Turkey ?!?!!?) So, I tried to draw sketches with the help of charcoal.
Woodcut print stuff is a good start for me. I think I will carve bigger letters with different typefaces, when I have free time.
After I bought the books and these things, I think I should not go to shopping for a long time (:

I’ve seen these logos at a website that offers them as inspiring logo designs, while I was stumbling upon. I have chosen a couple of them which I found them interesting.

Kreativos: I think this is a fake corporate. I like the bitten pencil illustration, but the logo is muh more better withot the shadow drop. The illustration seems 2 dimensional if we ignore the meaningless white spot on the back of it, so what for is the shadow and it seems better without it. Also I tihnk it can be better by using a warm color such as orange instead of blue.

Logomotive: I like it. Although it resembles waffle bread, I realy like it. It is so simple and gives the message directly.

Foot: It’s perfect. I know most of the designers are against to implanting the form into the logo, but it’s perfect. I also like other logo designs by Dalius Stuoka.

pencil: I think this is also a good design, but I prefer the letter ‘i’ with its dot.

ed’s electric: I like white space tricks. This is a good example of it.

A clip from the feature-length documentary Helvetica, by Gary Hustwit.
http://www.helveticafilm.com
Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. Helvetica has been shown at over 200 film festivals, museums, design conferences, and cinemas worldwide.

You can basically shove any words ( or your delicious tag collection ) into this random generator. Set a few layout and colour prefs, and bosh you’ve got yourself some old school letterpress styley typographic art.
These are designed for VA 234, typography course. The first one is an asymmetrical and unbalanced design, because the black and white parts have different sizes and, the directions of the texts are different. The second design is balanced because of the placement of the texts.
